Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi game

The Japanese adult visual novel Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi popularly known as Hoshikaka and translated as A Bridge to the Starry Skies. It was created and released by Feng on October 15, 2010, for Windows. Kazuma Hoshino, an adolescent boy who moves to rural Japan with his brother, is the main character of this primarily comedic slice-of-life novel, and it revolves on his intimate and love meetings with a few of the local women.

Hoshikaka engages the player through a nonlinear plot that they are given opportunity to alter throughout play, despite the fact that user participation is minimal.

In May 2009, Feng announced that production on Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi would begin. Throughout the project’s development, Feng promoted it through open forums and the airing of a radio play. The video game was released nearly a year after its original release date despite being delayed a total of nine times.

Feng announced work on a package of additional content for the game on November 11, 2011, with a target release date of February 24, 2012.

Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi expanded into various media after the game’s debut. A manga with two volumes, an art book, audio plays, and many music albums were also released. Doga Kobo also developed a direct-to-video (OVA) single release and a 12-episode animated television series.

Features of Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi video game

Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi is a visual novel with very little gameplay. The game’s presentation is conventional, with static scenery and somewhat adjusted character positions seen primarily from a first-person vantage point.

The game pauses at predetermined intervals, and players are given one to two reactions or actions to take—or not take—on behalf of characters that are pertinent to the currently playing scene.

Each decision creates a storytelling experience by branching the game’s path up to that point in a different route and altering the player’s affection for a particular character.

Due to Ayumu’s asthma, Kazuma Hoshino, a high school student, and his younger brother move from an unnamed city in Japan to the small hamlet of Yamabiko.

The brothers meet a number of people as they adjust to their new environment, including Madoka Koumoto, Ui Nakatsugawa, Ibuki Hinata, and the Toudou sisters. The brothers’ exploits with their new acquaintances are described in the story.

Characters of Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi

The life of Kazuma Hoshino, a teenage boy who relocates to the made-up rural hamlet of Yamabiko with his younger brother Ayumu due to Ayumu’s asthma, is followed in Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi.

While chasing a monkey that stole Ayumu’s hat, Kazuma gets lost in the jungle and encounters Ui Nakatsugawa, a cute and cheery, albeit airheaded, schoolgirl who he almost instantly warms up to.

Kazuma discovers that Ui enjoys cooking, has a sophisticated sense of taste, has a virtually insatiable hunger, and hence, enjoys eating when they return to where Ayumu is waiting. Ibuki Hinata, Ui’s fiery-tempered best buddy, introduces himself to Kazuma as they stroll through the forest.

Ibuki does not have a favourable opinion of Kazuma until long later when his genuinely good and friendly attributes cause her to fall in love with him. This is despite his admirable attempts to make up for his gaffe.

After arriving back in Yamabiko, Kazuma and Ayumu meet a variety of new people. Their hostess at the Yorozuyo Inn where they reside is Senka Yorozu, a friend of their father.

She is a social individual who enjoys drinking. The following morning, on their way to school, they run across Tsumugi Toudou, a down-to-earth third-year senior who introduces the lads to the town and its way of life.

At school, Daigo Minamikokubaru, a classmate who enjoys playing online games and constantly fantasises about nude women, befriends Kazuma and the two become close friends.

The homeroom teacher’s son is likewise him. Later, Kazuma runs into Hina Sakai, a tall, calm young woman who enjoys all things cute.

Kazuma and the crew wait for Ayumu from his middle school to join them before continuing their journey home from the campus.

The youngest sister of Tsumugi, Kasane Toudou, a kind-hearted blue-haired girl who is well-known in the community for her interest in rumours, welcomes Ayumu to the town.

Everyone visits the neighborhood’s Shinto shrine while on their tour, where the boys are introduced to Madoka Komoto, the priest’s daughter and the miko. To their amazement, Madoka flees in fear when she sees Kazuma; the next day, the same incident happened at school.

The next afternoon, he goes back to the shrine to visit her once more, but Koyori Toudou, the center Toudou sister, interrupts him. Being loud and arrogant like Ibuki, Koyori similarly refuses to accept Kazuma until his generosity emerges, like when he prevents her fall from a tree.
